About Us

Our Background

At its inception, the Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS) was known as the Postgraduate Degree Unit. It began operations on 1 April 2003. In 2010, the Postgraduate Degree Unit was upgraded to the Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS), which remains its current designation.

CGS is one of the most important divisions in all Public Universities, as it is responsible for administering and monitoring academic programs and the academic progress of postgraduate students. Accordingly, CGS plays a role in enhancing the quality of students’ academic research to produce knowledgeable, competent, and professional graduates in various fields. CGS also strives to provide high-quality higher education that is relevant to the needs of the various programs offered.
