Postgraduate Study Options
Doctor of Philosophy, PhD
PhD programme is a Level 8 MQF programme where candidates conduct substantial and original research that significantly contributes to new knowledge and/or practice in a field of study. Students carry out their research under the supervision of academic advisors, and the degree is awarded upon submission of a thesis and fulfillment of publication requirements.
MSc by Research
MSc by Research programme is a Level 7 MQF programme where candidates conduct substantial and original research to solve complex problems in relevant fields or practices. Students carry out their research under the supervision of academic advisors, and the degree is awarded upon submission of a thesis and fulfillment of publication requirements.
Mixed Mode
Students will have to register and pass a certain number of taught courses as partial
fulfilment of the graduation requirements. In addition, they will have to prepare a
dissertation for the remaining partial fulfilment of the graduation requirements. The
courses and dissertation are of equal weightage.
