On 12th September 2024, the Centre for Graduate Studies (CGS) at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) organized a significant meeting between Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Zaliman Sauli, Vice Chancellor of UniMAP, and three PhD students enrolled in the Postgraduate Dual Degree Program between UniMAP and the University of Yamanashi, Japan.
The students—Siti Mahfuzah Fauzi, Julaiha Jumat, and Thenmoli—are set to travel to Japan at the end of September 2024 to undertake a one-year research attachment at the University of Yamanashi. They are currently pursuing their PhD studies in the fields of System Integration Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
During the meeting, Prof. Zaliman expressed his support for the students and emphasized the importance of international collaboration in enhancing their research capabilities. The discussion also covered their research plans and how this opportunity would contribute to their academic and professional development.
